Sadly, there’s only a few days left in the Advent calendar. I’ve really been enjoying trying out everyone’s efforts! On the plus side, today’s beer is a White IPA that rings in at 9%, so that’s not sad at all!
The nose is citrusy and hoppy, but not overpowering. The mouthfeel is really smooth, and I suspect that comes from the abbey ale yeast in the secondary and the wheat. I thought I picked up a little bit of diacytl butter flavour, but I’m not entirely sure. The carbonation is a little light, but the head formation was great, and the retention was pretty good too.
