Ok, so thanks to a bungle on my part, and having to spend a couple hours out clearing the snow late last night, I’m behind on this by a couple of days. I’ll catch up, but in the mean time, here’s my review of Day 16. It’s an amber ale, something I don’t drink much of.
(Pics to be added later) I usually leave carbonation to the end, but this one bears noting – nicely carbonated, and the head was top-notch! My pour was a bit too aggressive, resulting in way more head than I usually like, but it didn’t make a big difference in the flavour. The colour is a nice mid-range brown, which is what I’d expect. The nose was a bit odd, couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I thought I picked up a bit of soap, although since the glassware wasn’t my own, I can’t eliminate that as a possible source for both the nose and flavour oddness.
